This coffee training space was designed for BrewLab in Edinburgh. Three bars were created to all have designated area of use. The first bar as you enter the room holds an espresso machine with the purpose of training for espresso based drinks. The second and middle bar is the brew bar for use of different brewing methods such as V60, Kalita and Chemex. The last bar was an area for extra storage and cleaning.
The design needed to communicate an open space, as the room was a cellar it lacked in lighting and height. We went for a concept to keep the bars light and open still with use for storage and a good stabile top surface. The materials chosen related to the original design of the BrewLab coffee shop being rustic. The walnut tops brought in some warmth to the room and the steel square tubes kept the bars stable on a slightly uneven floor.
If you are interested in a training session for coffee this is definetely the place to go!
